NavVis announces the new CLX
NavVis has introduced the NavVis CLX, a new lightweight handheld reality-capture device designed for high-volume, everyday documentation of the built environment.
Launched in Munich on September 1, 2026, the CLX complements the company’s MLX and VLX systems and is aimed at routine as-built documentation, surveying and reality-capture work where high-precision scanning may not be necessary. Its dual LiDAR architecture produces clean, low-noise point clouds, while live 2D and 3D coverage feedback helps users identify gaps before leaving a site.
Designed for occupied, confined and hard-to-reach spaces, the CLX combines portability, ease of use and documentation-grade data capture. Through integration with NavVis’ IVION Processing and IVION platforms, captured data can be processed, managed, measured, shared and streamed into Revit for CAD and BIM workflows. NavVis says the solution is intended to help organisations increase capture capacity, reduce rework and costly site revisits, and move more efficiently from field capture to reliable as-built deliverables.
