The Tekla Structures 2025 focuses on intelligent automation for reliable on-time delivery and efficient cross-product workflows, supporting your preferred ways of working with project teams – to deliver with confidence.
Highlights of Tekla Structures 2025:
Better fabrication drawings out of the box
The cloning functionality has been improved to produce better automatic results for you and keep your fabrication drawings more stable during project updates. When creating the fabrication drawings using SmartCreate, you will get better suggestions based on your previous drawings or attribute files. Now single part drawings are also supported.
New AI-enabled Cloud Fabrication Drawing service (Preview)
Tekla Structures 2025 introduces a preview version of a next-generation way of creating your fabrication drawings. Cloning from thousands of drawings from your company’s best projects stored in the cloud for easy access saves you time and effort creating drawings. AI helps you create your cloud collections and picks the best-matching template to clone a new drawing from. (Released as a Preview feature)
Enhanced Numbering
To keep you up to date on your project changes, we provide you with better control and transparency over numbering and its changes. Benefit from the new Numbering Preview to ensure the desired results.
To simplify communication for assembly on the factory floor and on site, the new rebar numbering allows you to control numbers to start from 1 within each cast unit or pour.
Integrated Tekla PowerFab Connector for steel fabricators and detailers
Unlock seamless integration and enhanced productivity when working with a fabricator that uses Trimble’s Tekla PowerFab software. The new Tekla PowerFab Connector in Tekla Structures lets you link projects to fabricators, validate modeling work against fabricator material catalogs, manage changes, and provide flawless submittals to each project phase starting from a preliminary list for advance material purchasing. This integrated system ensures that detailers can model according to the availability of materials and receive direct feedback on submittals from fabricators.
New STEP and IGES export for miscellaneous steel fabrication
Supporting fabrication interoperability, exports for STEP and IGES file formats have been added for tubular handrail production. These exports, available in Tekla Structures directly, use precise curved geometry to automate manufacturing when the DSTV-NC or IFC formats are not supported.
Enhanced design to detail and engineering workflows
Through an enhanced connected workflow between Tekla Structures and Tekla Structural Designer, BIM modelers can efficiently share models for the analysis of steel structures with structural engineers before detailing. This new approach enables the use of the BIM model by engineers, saving time and reducing errors caused by building a separate model. Other key improvements include improved user defined attribute mapping. The critical data for fire design can be transferred between Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Structures as UDAs, and connection forces can now be imported into Tekla Structures by design case and visualized for better-optimized connection design.
More efficient collaborative model-based workflows with stakeholders
Renewed and integrated Status Sharing enhances project management, streamlining workflows for detailers, engineers, fabricators, and site teams. Also use the .tekla file (as you were using ifc), with the ability to define the property sets to be included in the model upload to Trimble Connect. Live Collaboration (Preview feature) offers a new model-based review to solve questions fast. Use it to coordinate work within your team in real time – in a live session.
Enhanced communication between field and office
Tekla Structures 2025 supports streaming of point cloud data using Trimble Reality Capture Service freeing up disk space and keeping Model Sharing project participants up to date. Other improvements include better performance for point clouds in the model and the new clip box that allows quick isolation of specific portions of the surveyed data for precise modeling.
The renewed Layout Manager further enhances communication between field and office to communicate designs or to compare your design to as-built conditions. Transfer data to and from Trimble Connect effortlessly for Trimble FieldLink to automatically use up to date files.
Improved security for Tekla Model Sharing
The new features in Tekla Model Sharing include enhanced security with malware scanning for uploaded files, improved access control through a new Model Sharing Admin Role in Tekla Online Admin Tool, and increased administrative efficiency by allowing administrators to manage multiple organizations within the Model Sharing Management Console.
Improvements in rebar sets for concrete detailing
Rebar sets now support a greater range of use cases like polybeams and sloping slabs, allowing you to continue to detail rebar with a higher precision even in busy, detailed models.
