Sales Consultant: Tekla Structures Software (AECO Industry)

An exciting career opportunity for a Tekla Structures Software Sales Consultant who is passionate about transforming the efficiency of structural steel fabricators and detailing bureaus through the latest steel and concrete fabrication detailing technologies.

You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges with older traditional packages and guide them towards efficient, practical, future-focused solutions from Tekla.

This is a consultative sales role for someone who enjoys being a trusted advisor and driving real change in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with structural detailing clients to understand their workflows, challenges, and BIM maturity
  • Promote and sell the Tekla Structures software portfolio, acting as a technically competent, commercial point of contact, to grow our share of the market.
  • Demonstrate how these solutions can improve efficiency, speed, collaboration and drawing production processes.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and solution presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Build long-term relationships and position yourself as a trusted technology partner.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in the structural engineering design and detailing industry.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Minimum requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 3 years experience in a structural steel detailing environment
  • A strong technical background with commercial ambition to succeed in a sales career
  • Hands-on experience working with Tekla Structures software
  • Strong understanding of digital processes across the structural design and detailing workflow
  • Confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and decision makers
  • A genuine passion for using technology to move the industry forward
  • Own a reliable vehicle and willing and able to travel nationally, as well as internationally from time to time

Highly advantageous:

  • Appreciation of Autodesk structural software
  • Good understanding of structural BIM processes
  • An understanding of the benefits of 3D laser scanning
  • Existing relationships and contacts within the structural design and detailing community
  • Previous sales experience
